In a superb location just 300 metres from the piste, nursery slopes, the high speed gondola and chair lift of the Chavannes with direct access to the heart of the Portes du Soleil. And just 200 metres from the centre of the characterfull village of Les Gets with such quick access to a huge selection of local bars and restaurants on the doorstep, ski school meeting point and ski hire shop where you can also leave your skis and shoes. Alternatively, the free ski bus stops closeby at 50 metres from this ever-popular chalet. There is a private outdoor jacuzzi hot-tub on a covered terrace which is the perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes whilst admiring the surrounding mountains. There are ten bedrooms with almost all its own full en-suite bathroom with bath/shower, WC and basin. Two delightful semi-detached chalets share a catered property with large picture windows from the lounges looking down a slope to fabulous views of the piste. The two chalets are directly connected by a covered corridor. Chalet Aigle des Neiges offers two living and dining rooms with each a log fireplace, flatscreen TV and open both onto a sunny terrace. The interior is modern and stylish, with attractive use of light pine panelling throughout and characterful beamed ceillings to enhance the charming overall ambience. Positioned in a tranquil location at the end of a cul de sac and hardly any traffic, children can play safely here in the snow. The chalet has a heated ski room with boot dryers/warmers. A private garage suits self-driving guests perfectly. Your chalet staff live out, so your privacy is completely guaranteed.

Les Gets

Les Gets village has an appealing mixture of old chalets in distinctive Savoyard style and tasteful modern buildings, which blend to create a charm and character not always found in French resorts. Consistently rated by our guests as one of our friendliest and most characterful resorts. Les Gets has a colourful main street with lots of reasonably priced shops, bars and restaurants. Pretty and traditional by day, the village comes alive in the late afternoon, and those so inclined can drink and dance the night away. You will not need an expense account for the relaxed, varied and good value après ski and nightlife. Explore an interesting variety of bistros and restaurants on your chalet staffs’ night off. The family might prefer the outdoor ice-rink or weekly market. There are also a host of cultural and historical activities that lay bare the village’s traditional farming roots.

Portes du Soleil

Les Gets is the best possible base from which to explore the Portes du Soleil and first time visitors are often surprised by the excellent tree-lined skiing for all standards around Les Gets itself. Lift access from the village to 2000m is quick and easy, and from here you can pick your point on the compass. The high altitude ski range of the fabulous Portes du Soleil is excellent and for skiers of all levels. With a huge kms of pistes to choose from, ranging from picturesque tree-clad slopes to enormous, sunny, open high altitude snow-bowls, there really is something for everyone here. Around Les Gets itself, the friendly skiing terrain is perfect for beginners and intermediates to enjoy. Opposite the village’s main Chavannes ski slopes is the smaller Mont Chéry area, with satisfyingly long runs and some excellent bumps. Higher up, on the lifts linked with Morzine on the local lift pass, there is also a good range of skiing for the more experience skier or boarder. The Portes du Soleil is the largest linked ski area in the world, a claim made by many certainly, but only here you will find 2 countries and 14 resorts. Switzerland for lunch? Mountain restaurants are a real highlight; value-for-money traditional log cabins with open fires, local speciality dishes and ‘vin chaud’ on tap. Les Gets has a large, reputable ski school with English-speaking instructors.
