La Plagne

Our chalet is situated in Plagne 1800, one of eleven villages that make up La Plagne. Here you can enjoy the advantages of a high altitude resort with the charm of a more traditional alpine village. Amongst the pine trees just below Plagne Centre is the self-contained village of Plagne 1800. It has its own ski schools, hire shops and a choice of restaurants. There are three bars in the village; for a bigger selection of après ski walk 400 metres to Plagne Centre. Bus and lift shuttles link the resort units for après ski purposes until midnight. Plagne Centre is the liveliest Plagne, with pubs and pizzas, bars with live music, discotheques and restaurants of varying extraction, from South Pacific to traditional Savoyard fondue and pierrade. Bellecôte has skating and swimming. There are various spa and fitness centres and the Olympic bobsleigh run at Plagne 1800 is open for white knuckle taxi rides.

  • In most charming hamlet of La Plagne
  • Here no high-rise buildings
  • Here no appartment blocks
  • Between the snowy pine trees
  • Snowfall from the west, La Plagne get it first
  • Friendly après-ski in Plagne 1800
  • Lively après-ski Plagne Centre
  • Après-ski shuttle till midnight to other La Plagne resorts
  • Mountain huts on the piste with good French food
  • Try the olympic bobsleigh track

Paradiski

La Plagne is a firm favourite for family skiers and those that like high altitude slopes with extensive skiing. La Plagne has glacier skiing at Plagne Bellecôte which extends right up to 3250 metres. From here you will find up to 2000m of vertical drop, with black and red slopes, and a seemingly endless supply of powder, including some of the longest descents in France. The resort is well known as a beginners’ and intermediates’ paradise with an abundance of easily accessible nursery slopes and miles of motorway pistes. With skiing at a lung challenging altitude, La Plagne is already a snow-sure and extensive ski area in its own right. Linked to Les Arcs, even fast and experienced skiers would be hard pushed to cover the lots of kms of piste that the Paradiski has to offer in a week. Our home is close to the piste and lift of Plagne Centre, perched at 1800m in the very heart of the ski domain. The lift system is excellent, with fast access to the high reds off La Grande Rochette and the long easy blues above Aime 2000. A paradise for beginners, intermediates will also feel instantly at home on the miles of gentle blues with some of the longest vertical descents in the whole of the Alps. Once you’ve found your ski legs, the Bellecôte Glacier reds are also eminently achievable, and for the brave, the more challenging blacks beyond. Experts will relish the vast and exhilarating off-piste bowls which are tracked much more slowly than the high-profile resorts.

  • In the very heart of Paradiski
  • From here access to all ski areas
  • Easy slopes at the chalet
  • Two glaciers
  • Snow sure till the end of April
  • Villages in Paradiski: La Plagne, Les Arcs, Vallandry, Plan Peisey, Montchavin, Les Coches, Montalbert, Peisey-Nancroix, Villaroger, Champagny en Vanoise
