Skichalet Kitzbüheler Horn

Ski back to 250m from the chalet. Superbly located in the very centre of this picturesque resort. Very close to the après-ski bars, nightlife, sunny terraces, restaurants and shopping. Ski school and the ski hire shop also close by. Getting to the ski lifts is quick and easy, with the excellent free local ski bus service stopping close to the chalet and running regularly throughout the day. From December 2019 the nearest Flexalm cable car has been replaced by the fastest and most wind resistant ski lift in Austria. This is a fantastic property for clients looking for an authentic chalet experience, but with the vibrant Kirchberg nightlife right on their doorstep. A firm favourite with our guests. The chalet offers a traditional Austrian ambience and the comfort of all eight bedrooms having its own full en-suite bathroom with shower, WC, basin, balcony and tv. Previously run as a small hotel-restaurant and so enjoys all the benefits which you would expect from such a property. The large living and dining area offers a delightfully spacious area with cosy corners, a bar and a Tyrolean Kachelofen. Tilled flooring and in true alpine style, wood-panelled walls. This beautiful house offers character, charm and the very best location possible in Kirchberg. In the chalet there is a heated ski room with boot dryers/warmers. You can also store your ski equipment safe at the depot at the ski rental shop at the ski-lift. There is a free parking place at the chalet.

Dorp: Kirchberg

For many, it just has to be Kirchberg and its near neighbour Kitzbühel: authentic resorts with snow-sure slopes and a combination of traditional Tirolean charm, uncrowded slopes and state-of-the-art ski lifts. The village of Kirchberg is a traditional, compact village and has a traditional alpine style with picturesque houses and of course and old church (Kirche). Kirchberg is always lively at the end of the ski day, with a choice of busy bars later on. It has plenty of shops, restaurants and for après-ski and night life, Kirchberg is offering a good selection of après ski bars and activities. The picturesque farming community of Kirchberg has blossomed into an enchanting resort that’s now a firm favourite with families and powder hounds alike. Barely an hour from Innsbruck and Salzburg it’s so easy to get to, it’s part of an immense ski area. The landscape, just like the snow, is fabulous, with exceptional views of the Kitzbüheler Alpen and the Wilder Kaiser. Dating back to the 14th century, Kitzbühel’s pastel-painted medieval houses, cobbled streets, stylish shops and charming cafés are fascinating to explore. It has an unique ambience, buzzing with atmosphere and has been one of Austria’s top ski resorts for many years. Kitzbühel is a wonderfully cosmopolitan choice at the hart of the city. Some will enjoy the local brasseries and the piano bars, others the gourmet restaurants and classy shops. Kitzbühel has like Kirchberg also an excellent après-ski and nightlife. Many of course will be here for the legendary night life.

Skigebied: Kitzbüheler Alpen

A ski holiday’s nog good without the white stuff, which is why we’ve chosen for the Kitzbühel area. Not only does this resort deliver great skiing conditions at reassuringly high altitudes, but it also offers an incredible variety of terrain. There are slopes for skiers and boarders of every level, so your holiday can be as challenging or as leisurely as you wish. The gondolas in Kirchberg give direct acces to the Kitzbühel ski area and has also access to Westendorf and the ‘Ski Welt’ area with ‘Wilder Kaiser Brixental’. The skiing is good, too, on mostly north-facing slopes, with snow-cannon guaranteeing skiing right down to the villages from December to mid-April. Snowmaking on the nursery slopes means beginners and children can enjoy good conditions throughout the season. If there is one thing in Kirchberg Kitzbühel that is likely to cause you to ponder, it will probably be your decision as to which ski area to head to next. Optimal elevations and extensive snowmaking capability guarantee reliable snow conditions from late November until the middle of April. The Kitzbühel’s ski area offers a mixture of challenging terrain. To one side of the resort there is the Kitzbühlerhorn area and to the other, the Hahnenkamm area. The fashionnable resort of Kitzbühel is famous above all for the Men’s Downhill Race on the Hahnenkamm, this lively and sophisticated resort has something for everyone, from young to old and from beginner to expert. Convenient nursery slopes at the base of the Hahnenkamm are great for beginners and the choice of blue and reds are extensive. The ultimate challenge is the ‘Streif’ with its vertical ‘Mausefalle’ (mousetrap) which even the ski racers fear. Beginners and families aren’t left out, as both Kitzbühel and Kirchberg are well-suited thanks to attentive ski schools and a host of après-ski activities.
